Why Should I Join?

University Park PTA was founded in 1988 by a community of parents, students, teachers, administrators and businesses devoted to the educational success of University Park's children and the promotion of parental involvement in our school.


We are volunteers aspiring to empower our children by making available to our school community the tools, resources, and friendships essential for success.


Joining the PTA allows you to make a difference in your child's education and gives you a voice and a vote at University Park.  Membership AND participation mean that you will have a better understanding of what goes on at our school and in your child's classroom. 


We hope you will choose to celebrate with us as a participating member of the PTA family!

Explanation of PTA Membership Perks


Your PTA Membership gives you access to discounts and savings from corporate vendors such as Staples, Lego Land, Enterprise Rent A Car, Aquarium of the Pacific and more.  Go to  Membership Perks


In addition, your PTA membership offers perks that are specific to our school.  The UP PTA offers different levels of membership with each level offering a perk.  Below is a brief explanation of what the perks mean at UP.

Where does the money go?

Chromebooks, Assemblies, Family Fun Fest, School Improvements...

Our fundraising efforts channel money directly to University Park Elementary School for programs that support excellence in education for ALL of our students.

What are we?

We are a group of parent volunteers who have committed our time, talents and resources to support, enhance, improve and enrich our children's education.
