USD's GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) program is designed to meet the academic, social and emotional needs of advanced learners. A student’s first opportunity to qualify for GATE is in the 3rd Grade.
University Park offers Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) cluster program in grades 4, 5 and 6. Our GATE Teachers are trained to provide challenging instruction to GATE identified Children.
Kara Rydman, IUSD GATE Coordinator will be at University Park to present information about IUSD’s GATE Program, screening process and its implementation.
Lauren Brancky, UP GATE Teacher Representative will talk about GATE Cluster Instruction here at our school.

Parents of children from Grade 3 – 6 and all other grade parents who are interested are welcome to attend.
